
Last day we had seen the Dell Inspiron Duo Convertible Netbook cum Tablet and now we are going to have a look at the new Acer Iconia which has been unvieled at the Acer’s Global press event in New York. The new Acer Iconia is a hybrid dual-screen laptop / tablet which comes designed on the similar concept of that of Toshiba Libretto W100 and Microsoft Courier.
The main highlight of the Acer Iconia device is its two 14-inch capacitive touchscreen displays with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and multitouch supported. The first screen is display at notebook, while the 2nd screen will replace keyboard. This laptop comes run on the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS with Acer Ring apps that ICONIA’s touch features and controls.

Coming to the specifications of the Acer Iconia Hybrid notebook, it packs a 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0+HS and 3G WWAN, Acer’s CrystalEye webcam, gigabit Ethernet and an inbuilt microphone. It comes powered with Intel Core i5-480M / 560M / 580M processor, a 320/500/640/750GB hard drive, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory and an integrated Intel HD graphics.
The notebook comes equipped with a 4-cell battery providing 3 hours of operate. Acer will start the sale of Iconia Hybrid laptop/tablet in the UK by January 16 and expected price of Acer Iconia is around £1,500.
