Apple iOS 4.3.1 has just been released today for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This iOS 4.3.1 version is a maintenance release which addresses several bugs and problems as reported in the earlier version of iOS 4.3, such as graphics glitches and flickers as experienced in iPod Touch 4G, cellular activation bugs noticed by iPhone users, etc
So if you’re running on iOS 4.3, get those nasty glitches fixed - connect to iTunes and update to this latest release online OR if you do not have a high-speed internet connection, just simply download and manually install the “xxxxRestore.ipsw” file via iTunes.
As for me, I would rather not upgrade iOS directly via iTunes, as this takes such a long time. Moreover, if the connection gets lost in the middle, I’d have to redo it all from the beginning. So, instead, I’ve been downloading the respective restore.ipsw file via sites like Felixbruns and then later manually install via iTunes, which would just be a 5 minute quick upgrade installation.
